Hot on the heels of releasing the new Coupé, MINI has now launched a one-off racing version of its new model to grab the headlines by competing in the Nurburgring 24 hr race in Germany.
The MINI Coupé Endurance is powered by a tweaked version of the John Cooper Work's 1.6-litre turbo engine, sending 247bhp to the front wheels via a racing six-speed sequential gearbox.
Peak torque climbs to 330Nm during overboost conditions, and the Coupé Endurance is capable of topping 150mph, paving the way for a more powerful production version of the two seater to appear in the future.

The Mini has finally lost it's charm and become the every boy racers dream car as the coupe looks like something made up from a video game, more of a go cart than a car, as if we need more boy racers on the road!
Sod going to the Nurburgring, if they want to debut an endurance racer, what's wrong with the Britcar 24 hr at Silverstone? Or don't they want us to see it fall on its rrrrrrse?
So another week, another M**I story
It seams that there's some story or other every week on here about a "new" M**I.
I know this is a one-off ( I really do wish that the whole concept of the new M**I had just been a one-off.
I really am getting sick of even seeing it mentioned in a headline on here EVERY WEEK.
Have AE got shares in it I wonder?
