Auto Express magazine featured a scoop spy shot of the new TT winter testing in issue 901 and the most obvious external modification was the electrically-operated pop-up boot spoiler, similar to the system used on the Porsche 911. As the car's speed increases, the rear wing automatically extends, reducing lift over the rear end and improving traction. Not only does the ingenious aerodynamic solution make the TT safer, it also allows Audi to retain the trademark sloping rear windwo line and smooth curved bootlid of the original car when the spoiler is not in use.
