Ford Verve spied undisguised

Spy shots reveal production version of Ford Fiesta replacement to stick closely to show concept

Ford Verve

12th September 2007

Not only can we bring you pictures of the new Focus – but Auto Express also has the world’s first undisguised spy shots of the new Verve too! Taken at one of Ford’s European design centres, our images show the eagerly awaited production version of the Fiesta replacement is as stunning as the concept car.

Although some of the newcomer’s details are obscured, the headlights and tail-lights are as striking as the Frankfurt show car’s, while the sporty, rising waistline is also present.

Factor in the neat roof spoiler and distinctive C-pillar, and there’s no doubt that the production Verve will turn heads. After making its official debut in showroom-ready form at the Geneva Motor Show next March, the Verve will go on sale in the summer as both a three-door and a five-door – which we can also show you for the first time thanks to our artist’s illustration.

Sharing the same underpinnings as Mazda’s latest 2, the future bodes well for the Verve. And with sporty handling, plus an interior to match the exterior’s sharp style, it already looks like a winner.
