Nissan has released a teaser video of its forthcoming Murano SUV. Although the model is no longer sold in the UK, Nissan has revealed it is evaluating the current market with the possibility of reintroducing the third-gen Murano to UK shores. The production model will be showcased in full at the New York Motor Show next month.
The teaser footage gives very little away other than swept back headlights, inspired by the Nissan 370Z and recently-introduced Qashqai will feature. A slight kick in the waistline in front of the C-pillar can also be made out, another design feature borrowed from the Qashqai.
A new but unnamed design language has also influenced the look of the new Murano, something which was first seen on the Resonance concept at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year. The concept previewed the styling direction for the brand’s future SUV’s, indicating features such as the prominent front grille and bold Nissan badge could make their way onto the Murano.
The Japanese manufacturer remains tight-lipped about its latest model but has said, ‘Along with its innovative styling, the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano features a spacious, premium interior and advanced, purposeful safety and connective technology.’
