Black & Decker BDV066

Inverters tested

Price: £29.39, max continual output: 400 Watts

Black & Decker BDV066

Date: March 2009

  • Rating:

In terms of pence per Watt, this is the best value product in this test. But sadly, overall performance takes the shine off that low price. Electrical efficiency is among the poorest, and the output was much less stable than many rivals. Plus, while the heavy-duty fan is great for keeping the Black & Decker cool under load, it dramatically increases the standby current used.
