The 25mm cables on the CJL25C are smaller than those on its CJL35C brother (below), but they can still be used on petrol engines of up to 5.5 litres.

However, our test motor lost a few revs during the crank, and there was a little more heat build-up. This Clarke also boasts no-nonsense clamps, and a decent carry bag. Our Recommended choice.
