Renault Talisman saloon debuts for the Chinese market with a price of around £30,000

The wraps have been pulled off the Renault Talisman saloon at the Beijing Motor Show. If you recognize it, then you must be familiar with the South Korean market Renault-Samsung SM7, as the two cars are almost identical, aside from the badges.

The newcomer will be exported to China from Korea in June this year, and will cost from just over £30,000.

“The launch of Renault’s flagship – Talisman in China underlines the importance Renault attaches to the Chinese market and our confidence in growth here,” said Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn.

It’s likely that the Talisman will be available with a 2.5-litre V6 producing 187bhp or a 3.5-litre V6 with 254bhp.

Don’t expect to see the Talisman coming to the UK. Renault currently offers the smaller Latitude saloon in Europe, but even that isn’t on sale in the UK.
