Limited-run Suzuki Swift SZ-L returns, offering exclusive paint colours and extra kit from £11,099

Suzuki has reintroduced the special edition Swift SZ-L following a successful initial production run earlier this year. Prices for the three-door model now start at £11,099 and rise to £11,599 for the five-door.

Based on mid-range SZ3 trim as before, this limited-run take on the popular supermini once again comes with air conditioning, Bluetooth, a USB port, ESP and seven airbags as standard.

LED daytime running lights are also carried over, as is the standard car’s 1.2-litre four cylinder petrol engine, but cruise control is no longer fitted – instead featuring only in the Swift’s range-topping SZ4 and Sport specs.

There’s still a choice of exclusive two-tone metallic paint schemes though, with either ‘Boost Blue’ or ‘Cosmic Black’ available alongside contrasting ‘Cool White’ door mirrors, roof and rear spoiler.

Inside however, the upholstery – including Swift embossed seats and silver stitching – makes way for the regular SZ3 interior.

Following the Swift’s recent mid-year refresh, a gearshift indicator and Tyre Pressure Monitor System now feature, too, which partially accounts for the slight price rise for the five-door SZ-L.

Suzuki also claims the 93bhp 1.2-litre Dual VVT engine will see the cae continue to manage 65.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 116g/km, whilst hitting 0-62mph in 12.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 103mph.

On sale now, current prices include a 'VAT free' promotion, which runs until the end of September.
