The Tigra is a quality product. Styling is sharp and, while a lack of power and high prices are negatives, the overall package gets our vote

Auto Express has done it again! We're the first British magazine to drive the new Vauxhall Tigra - and the first in the world to bring it face-to-face with its rivals, including Nissan's amazing Micra C+C.

05-reg Petrol, Owner for 1 to 3 years

Not bad for the type of car it is.

2000-reg Petrol, Owner for less than a year

No problems so far ( 3 months ). Fuel consumption good on a long distance journey 40+.

2007-reg Petrol, Owner for more than 5 years

Never let me down. only had one fault - a faulty oil seal - dealt with early on under guarantee, and worn bushes on anti-roll bar dealt with during service. It is not especially economical although not too bad considering the engine size and how it is driven.

Never let me down. Not too costly although a bit heavy on emissions based road tax.
