Ian Robertson, BMW main board member for sales and marketing, has topped the second annual Auto Express Brit List. Robertson moves up to the number one slot, replacing Nissan’s Andy Palmer who joined the judging panel for this year’s survey.
The Auto Express Brit List ranks the most influential Brits in the car business and is judged by Auto Express editor Steve Fowler, news editor Jack Rix, The Sun motoring editor Ken Gibson, BBC transport correspondent Richard Westcott, motor industry expert Ray Hutton and Andy Palmer.
The leading designer in this year’s list is Land Rover’s Gerry McGovern who’s been particularly prolific this year with the launch of a new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
McLaren boss Ron Dennis leads the motor sport contingent in 11th place, with F1 chief exec Bernie Ecclestone in 12th.
However, women are once again noticeable by their absence from this year’s Brit List. For the full Auto Express Brit List see this week’s issue of Auto Express.
