Despite enduring some turbulent times over the past few years, MG still has a huge following. By far the firmÂ’'s strongest model when it ceased production two years ago was the ZT. The four-door and estate are great to look at with fine handling to boot –– and drivers are smitten. Climbing seven places since last year, the nimble handling and sharp brakes are balanced by superb cabin comfort. LetÂ’'s hope models to come from the new Chinese-owned MG marque will have just as much to offer.
Your Quotes
“Buying into an MG at the moment really does get you a lot of car at a bargain price. I can't really fault my experience of the ZT. I only wish it had better fuel economy.”
Mr Darren Gander - Kent“Brilliant car, reliable, fast and not overly expensive to run. V6 engine sounds wonderful and goes like a rocket.”
Mr David Overall - London“An excellent sports tourer with a mix of performance and practicality.”
Colin Bullock - England“An excellent car, which has proved to be very reliable, it is a great shame that the company went out of business. I also own an MGF, which is a concourse model (1.8i SE Freestyle). I am a member of the Durham MG Club, which is very active.”
Mr Stuart McNulty - County Durham“It's a great, practical performance car for the family - it looks great and is a pleasure to drive, especially on long journeys. It can be a touch expensive to run and I find myself driving 'carefully' - which may be a good thing. It has been mostly reliable, though a few faults have emerged as the mileage creeps up to 80,000.”
Mr Simon Hudson - East Yorkshire“I have been very pleasantly surprised by the ZT-T. The only negative point is the fuel consumption. Otherwise it drives well, accelerates well, it makes a great noise and I feel special every time I use it. To date nothing has gone wrong.”
