A CONVENTIONAL bulb is added to the seven high-intensity LEDs on this torch. In theory, you should get super-bright light from the diodes, and great peripheral illumination from the bulb. But you don’t. While the Clarke delivered straight ahead lighting on a par with the best in this test, peripheral output was extremely poor – partly because the bulb is way too dim.
