Aston Martin has announced that its upcoming V12 Zagato’s limited run of 150 units, will be reduced to just 101.
A spokesman for the British manufacturer told us that the decision has nothing to do with slow sales, and that the original quota was always an upper limit rather than a confirmed run. The hand-built cars take upwards of 2,000 man hours to build, and time constraints mean that fewer cars will realise production.
History shows that previous limited-edition Astons from Italian design house, Zagato, have in fact appreciated in value over time. Therefore, the reduction in numbers should come as good news for those who have already placed a deposit on the £396,000 supercar.
All being well, we should see the first Aston Martin V12 Zagatos early next year.
