FIRST OPINION

    It might not have the image of a BMW or Mercedes, but the new Lexus RX300 looks stylish, has plenty of technology and is well priced. Designed to be refined and relaxing rather than dynamically rewarding, it's an economical, spacious alternative to a Mercedes ML or BMW X5. Success in the UK will be limited without a diesel version, though.
