With some Toyota Engineering Input - this ought to be a silky smooth ultra-reliable, cheap to run City Bug.
But it isn't. Peugeot & Citroen input & crap dealers.
Bought a 2nd hand 2008/08 Yellow 3dr Urban. Road Tax £20, easy 55mpg. Full Peugeot Service History and bought from Dealer.
But
20,000 miles clutch worn out £550 to replace.
20,000 water pump failed - warranty replaced free
22,000 front brake pads "80% worn", discs "75% worn and rippled at rear" to replace with pads next visit. Est £550.
The boot had a leak cured by dealer with his "thinking head on", but tool kit rusted as result.
Peugeot Customer Service poor.
The alarming key part fail rate is common (google them!). We've had 7 defect-free Toyotas with brakes and clutch good to 70,000 to 100,000 miles.
DONT DO IT - WE'RE GETTING RID AFTER 6 MONTHS GRIEF
