An updated Chevrolet Spark has been revealed at the Paris Motor Show, alongside a new engine for the Orlando MPV.

The Spark – Chevrolet’s city-car rival for the Ford Ka and new Vauxhall Adam – has been given a new grille, headlights and redesigned bumpers.

There are also new alloys, while rear visibility has been improved by integrating the rear brake light into the roof-mounted spoiler. Inside, the Spark gets a redesigned centre console.

The engine range remains unchanged, so buyers have the choice of either 67bhp 1.0-litre or 80bhp 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engines.

The revised Spark will go on sale in the UK early next year, with prices expected to start from around £9,000.

Chevrolet will also debut a new 138bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine in the Orlando MPV. Stop-start and electric power-steering help deliver 45.5mpg and, if it goes on sale in the UK, it will cost around £15,500.
