A 500bhp snowmobile developed exclusively for pro racing driver Ken Block. A video is due later this year

This is a Ford F-150 Raptor like no other. Created for pro racing driver Ken Block, this 500bhp RaptorTRAX is the ultimate winter assault vehicle and claimed to be the world’s fastest snowmobile.

The people behind the creation are Hoonigan Racing and Special Vehicle Concepts, who started with a racing spec Ford F-150 Raptor and garnished it with all the necessary requirements in order to tackle some of the world’s most challenging terrain. Mechanically the standard 6.2-litre V8 has been supercharged so that it now develops around 500bhp but the standout addition is the four Mattracks in each corner.

Other features include snowboard racks, a roof basket, a rear-mounted winch, an exterior stereo setup for playing music (and hopefully not setting off any avalanches) plus plenty of exterior-mounted Rigid Industries lighting. Inside, there’s a full roll cage and Recaro racing seats.

"This project is something I've had in my head for awhile now," said Ken Block, "It's an absolute beast of a machine and I'm stoked with how it's turned out. Next up is for me to take it deep into the backcountry ASAP to help me and some friends slay some powder on our snowboards for a video project."

Unsurprisingly this machine is a custom one-off but it's creators will build you a similar one if you care to place an order. You’ll be able to see what it’s capable of when Ken Block gets behind the wheel for a video due later this year. The Ford F-150 RaptorTRAX will also be on display at the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado this week.
