Hyundai has released the first teaser of its premium concept, which is set to be unveiled at Detroit

Hyundai will unveil the HCD-14 concept at the Detroit Motor Show, and here's the first teaser image. The HCD-14 concept is thought to preview the next-generation Genesis saloon – a model that isn’t currently sold in the UK.

The HCD-14 – so-called because it’s the 14th model to come out of Hyundai’s California Design studio – is a four-door model with the kind of sweeping roofline seen on stylish models like the Audi A7 and Mercedes CLS.

The Korean manufacturer hasn't released many details but has said that the HCD-14 will offer "advanced 3-D gesture-based technology controls, and spirited driving dynamics."

Hyundai bosses have long been considering introducing the Genesis to the UK, and the next-generation model could well be the first to be offered over here. The car will be unveiled fully in Detroit on 14 January, along with a few more details.

I was thinking to myself not 2 days ago how much the i40 looked like the pre-facelift A4, and how the new Santa-Fe resembles the Q5. Now they've pulled this A7 look-a-like out the bag? I'm not denying the designs are great, but if they keep going along these lines then people might think that they're Chinese or something.
