Infiniti has released a fresh teaser image of its latest concept car ahead of an official reveal at October’s Paris Motor Show.
Following last month’s cryptic preview, which only showed a dimly-lit grille, Nissan’s luxury arm has decided to move things on a bit, revealing the new prototype “foreshadows an audacious top-of-the-line model.”
It’s called the Q80 Inspiration, and appears to hint at a forthcoming four-seat fastback to sit above the recently-facelifted Q70. Based on what we can see here, the concept will cut a low-slung figure in profile, complete with an elongated bonnet, sloping roofline and short overhangs. Should the new flagship saloon make it to production, it’s possible power will come from some form of the QX70’s range-topping 385bhp 5.0-litre V8, with a hybrid variant also likely.
Further details are fairly thin on the ground at present but, judging by an official statement from Infiniti, there cabin design is intended to offer a driver-oriented approach and feature ample in-car tech. We’ll keep you posted when more details emerge at the Q80 Inspiration concept’s public debut on October 2nd.
