The new Maserati GranTurismo Sport has been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, as it bids to fill the gap between the GranTurismo S and the extreme MC Stradale.
Visually the Sport bears a close resemblance to the range-topping Stradale thanks to its new front bumper, which incorporates two swooping intakes either side of the traditional Maserati oval grille.
Elsewhere, revised headlamps now incorporate LED daytime running lights and the tail-lamps get darker lenses than on the standard GranTurismo.
Tweaks to the 4.7-litre V8 engine have increased power from 444bhp to 454bhp. That should mean acceleration from 0-62mph will be improved by one-tenth to 4.8 seconds.
When Maserati introduced the Sport version of the GranCabrio at Geneva in 2011, the car cost around £2,000 more than the standard model. With that in mind, the GranTurismo Sport should start from around £95,000 when it goes on sale later this year.
