Hyundai has announced prices for the new ix20. The firm’s new supermini MPV will go on sale on 18 November and buyers will get the choice of  1three drivetrain options and three trim levels.

The firm has gone to extra lengths to ensure the ix20 appeals to British buyers, and has created three trim grades – Classic, Active and Style – which the firm claims “reflect the demands and high expectations of British buyers.”

The entry-level Classic trim include a height adjustable driver’s seat, ESP, air conditioning, six airbags, active head restraints, and a six-speaker stereo with USB-/AUX-/iPOD-input capabilities. Prices start at £11,595 for the 1.4-litre petrol, while the 1.4-litre diesel adds an extra £1,400.

Next is the Active trim level which adds 16-inch alloy wheels, parking sensors. Bluetooth and audio controls on the leather-trimmed steering wheel; and costs £1,100 more than the Classic.

The range-topping Style specification adds £1,000 to the price of an Active model, and includes a dual-panel panoramic glass sunroof and front fog lights. The Style range starts at £13,695 for the 1.4-litre petrol, £15,095 for the diesel and £15,095 for the 1.6-litre petrol auto.

There’s only one item on the options list - metallic paint at £395.
