Nissan teases a new Sports Sedan concept, with a full reveal at the Detroit Motor Show

Nissan has released a teaser image of a new concept car. The Japanese manufacturer has labelled it as a ‘Sports Sedan’, and the concept is set for a full reveal at the Detroit Motor Show later this month.

The image gives little away other than a pair of raked-back headlights, prominent grille and sculpted flanks will all feature on the concept. Nissan has said ‘the Sport Sedan Concept previews a new energetic design direction that amplifies Nissan's legendary approach of applying sports car principles to a sedan.’

Alongside the Sports Sedan concept at Detroit, the Nissan IDx Freeflow and IDx NISMO concepts – first showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show back in November – will also be on display. Both vehicles 'embody Nissan’s approach to a next-generation compact vehicle', according to the manufacturer.

The trio of concepts will be unveiled on January 13 at the Detroit Motor Show, where further information on the new Sport Sedan concept will be announced.
