Ferrari announces three new FF specifications through its Tailor Made programme, plus Apple CarPlay

Buyers that want their Ferrari FF to stand out from the crowd can now order a trio of new styling packs. Available through Ferrari’s Tailor Made programme, the three configurations are aimed at fans of outdoor pursuits – in keeping with the four-wheel drive FF’s rugged touring capabilities.

Customers can choose from Ski, Golf and Country spec, all based around tough, waterproof materials. Go for the Ski model and the car come with a scratch-proof carbon-fibre boot floor with metal inserts, while the Golf model takes a leaf out of the VW Golf GTI’s book with tartan upholstery. The Country model keeps things traditional with warm leather tones and a leather-lined boot.

Order an FF now, and you also have the option of making the car compatible with Apple’s new CarPlay interface, revealed at the Geneva show. Plug in your iPhone and the software mimics the phone’s screen on the dash display and let’s you use full Siri voice control for a wide range of functions including music, messages and maps.

Our verdict on Apple CarPlay

There’s no price yet for the CarPlay system, but Ferrari has confirmed that beginning in June the new turbocharged California T will also be offered with it, followed by other selected models in the range.
