The new Mazda 2 has been given the boot – it’s now available as a saloon. The four-door version of the supermini was unveiled last week at a motor show in China.
It goes on sale early next year, and the new bodystyle increases the boot capacity to 450 litres from the hatchback’s 250 litres.
Mazda is focusing on reducing the drag of its vehicles to boost economy, and the saloon is no exception – its shape is the most aerodynamic in the entire supermini range.
Buyers will be offered two petrol engines: a 1.3 and a 1.5-litre. Mazda has yet to confirm whether the four-door 2 will come to the UK.
