Say hello to the next Subaru Legacy…well almost! The Japanese firm chose Detroit to unveil its radically styled new saloon, which previews the next generation model.
With its wildly flared wheel-arches and sporty, wedge-like profile, Subaru is hoping the public will approve after a series of design flops which include the new Impreza and Tribeca.
The concept retains two Legacy trademarks from days gone by, namely a 3.6-litre boxer engine and symmetrical all-wheel-drive.
Inside occupants are spoilt by a longer wheelbase than the current model, resulting in more legroom and a higher roof for more head room, while a high-tech centre console featuring a massive touch-screen display controls the majority of the car’s functions.
The production version is likely to make an appearance next year.
