It's a mess! Looks as though the "Top 3" is the first 3 in each list rather than the 'Best 3"!!
What a shame that there seems to be confusion within the publishing of these results - if the website isn't right can we believe the test results will be right ? Who's to say that they haven't been mixed up as well ?
It also seems rather coincidental that the Osram bulbs came out top when it was their facility that was being used for testing ?
Surely it would have been better to use an independent test facility rather than one with a vested interest !
These Osram Nightbreakers look like the previous version. The new ones say they have a 50% longer life than the originals.

It looks odd but the top two or three manufacturers will always be the top two or three, because they put more dosh into research and development, results are bound to ebb and flow from year to year, but manufacturers with ongoing R&D will always be in the top two or three market leading brands.
Unfortunately in this short article we are only told that certain bulbs worked well in a set test, but I would like to see photos of the differing beam patterns that are produced from the different products, which I consider to be a most important part of any test.

Yes it seems does seem very odd but, it’s a fact that here in the UK most lamps are imported from China or Taiwan, these countries use far inferior production equipment and are constructed from much lower quality cheaper materials, very little thought to testing afterwards. Guess what! Even some main dealers are guilty along with all the big retailers. Fortunately AE test highlights this. It’s probably the best test Auto Express does. You would never see these lower quality bulbs in cars rolling of the production line Almost every car manufacturer in the world uses Philips Osram, standard OE made in Germany so it goes hand in hand that these guys upgrades win every time . To be sure, go to a specialist like Powerbulbs or carbulbsdirect. 12 month warranty free shipping, been using www.powerbulbs.com years them for years excellent quality unbeatable service
Confusion
Can't follow the logic of the top three listed here as they do not follow the ratings given for the products. In fact the number 3 bulb, the Bosch Power White, has the lowest rating of all of the bulbs by a long way.
