Rolls-Royce has updated the Ghost for 2013, with new leather, stereo and boot release

The Rolls-Royce Ghost has been updated for 2013 with what the firm calls “subtle enhancements that ensure the car is equipped to pinnacle Rolls-Royce standards.”

This means that the revised Ghost gets the very best soft, natural grain leather and wood veneers used throughout its interior.

For 2013, the Ghost has been fitted with an upgraded amplifier for the stereo and the addition of what Rolls-Royce calls exciter speakers in the headlining, intended to improve sound quality by emitting sound closer to the passenger’s ear.

The Ghost also becomes the first Rolls-Royce to get a bootlid that can opened by foot. As long as you have the key in your pocket, the boot will open automatically once you - or your driver - places a foot underneath the centre of the rear bumper.

The final update is a new forged alloy wheel design, which can be specified alongside a choice of no fewer than 44,000 exterior paint options.

Will have to trade the old one in now given the significant upgrade. Damn you Rolls Royce!

Very tasty. And wow......44000 different colours eh. Did that no have too many zeros in it?? Can understand why RR made this car, but I'm confused why they would then stretch it to a LWB version, when there is the Phantom......
