Amazing Honda NSX 3D model whets the appetite for the car's 2015 launch

A South African 3D engineer just couldn't wait any longer for the new Honda NSX so he's built the next best thing, a detailed digital 3D model.

Ettienne Vorster is the man behind the 3D rendering of the new NSX, one of the longest waited new performance cars in living memory.

• Honda NSX Concept-GT on track

Honda assures us that the new NSX will arrive for real in the summer of 2015, badged as an Acura NSX for the US market, but with a near-production concept first shown at the Detroit Motor Show in 2012, it already feels like we've been waiting a while.

• Everything we know now about the new Honda NSX

If the anticipation of the new NSX is getting a bit much to you, this 3D model should serve as the perfect stress ball. It shows the forthcoming new car in all its three-dimensional glory and lets you rotate it to your hearts content.

When it does arrive, the new Honda NSX will be powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injection V6 petrol engine, assisted by a pair of electric motors. This will also form part of Honda's Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system that's fitted as standard to the NSX.
