Maserati has promised to introduce a new model at each international motor show – and Geneva is no exception! The GranTurismo S Automatic, featuring Maserati’s 4.7-litre V8 with 434bhp hooked up to a six-speed ZF auto, will be shown for the first time at the Swiss show.

Previously only the 4.2-litre V8 has been offered with a self-shifter, while the 4.7-litre unit made do with an electro-actuated ‘box. The recently updated ZF transmission is the same system found on the Quattroporte Sport GT S, which provides seamless changes in auto mode and blips the throttle for flamboyant down shifts via the wheel-mounted paddles.

Also borrowed from the Quattroporte Sport GT S are the new 20-inch Trident design alloys, while inside the cabin Bluetooth is now fitted as standard and an iPod interface is added to the list of optional extras.
