Kia Soul SUV takes shape

Kia unveiled its Soul concept car at the 2006 Detroit Motor Show - and the production version looks just as striking as the show car!

In January this year the Korean firm confirmed that the Soul was definitely going into production with an expected arrival date of late 2008. With boxy styling, the Soul is built to appeal to younger buyers with a muscular look on the outside and high quality trim inside.

These spy shots show a Soul prototype undergoing hot weather testing in the southwest of the United States.
