Nissan GT-R SpecM spied

You would need more money than sense!

A £115,000 for a Nissan! I appreciate it is seriously fast and can out gun a Porsche 911 in a straight line and on a twisty road too. In a hard core way it is probably more visually appealing than a 911. But for a lot less money you could buy XKR, Vantage, or R8. Sorry I can't see how they can justify this, or is this another piece of BS journalism from AE?

The SpecM won't cost £115k - it will come at a premium over the standard model. The SpecV is a different prospect altogether.

Anyway, why would anyone buy an Aston or R8 over a GT-R anyway? They won't be anywhere near as usable or reliable in the real world. My money would go on the Nissan. It's awesome.

I don't see the need to be rude to AE either.

It will instantly out-rival the DBS and XKR, having twice as much traction. And when push comes to shove, 2 wheels could sacrifice you, and 4 wheels save you. AM's I adore, but I'd have one of these first, no question. Has AE put a GT-R up against the new R8-V10? Could make interesting reading.

If only I had the money. I drove a standard GT-R ona track day and that was an awesome car. This one will have the luxury touches to outclass any AM of XK. Nissan will sell every one they can make.

Performance is really great BUT styling does not impress!

It certainly has the guts and power to really go and will show many other sporting cars much more expensive a clean pair of exhausts! No doubt about that.

But its styling is bitsy and as though several designers each did a section with panels that were to hand. It is not flowingly elegant like the older Nissann/Datsun 280Z or the later Toyota Supras which really look good moving or standing still.

Come on Nissan where is the styling - you can do better than this!

Nissan make BRILLIANT sports cars...try drive one!

I own a 350z and have to say this and the GTR are utterly tremendous cars. Nissan know how to make fantastic sports cars, but just don't shout about it enough. The GTR especially has so mauch capability to upgrade its frightning, looks fantastic as well. Styling, GTR seems to have a slightly faint front and teeth bearing backside but overall looks much better overall than something like a 911. And the 350z which I own, well that just looks stunning all round.

What is this madness?

The whole point of the GT-R is raw power, incredible performance, no frills, reasonable practicality and great value. This is still fast, but it's insanely expensive and the luxurious side has missed the point of the GT-R completely. Also, Nissan should make a faster Spec-V. How is it that there are so many performance upgrades of the GT-R but it still doesn't go over 200 MPH???
