We test a Volkswagen Tiguan on the bumpiest roads

How does Volkswagen ensure that every car is rattle-free before it reaches the customer? Well, each new vehicle leaving the production line at the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg Germany is driven over a 625-metre track consisting of cobbles, bumps and rail tracks to check for unwanted noises.

We wanted to recreate this very test ourselves here at Auto Express -- only with a slight twist. So we headed to a proving ground in a Volkswagen Tiguan armed with some rattles, tambourines and nodding dogs. Why? All will be explained in our video...

What a pity these experts could not identify that a Tiguan without a sunroof does not require the controls to operate a sunroof. What does that say about VW quality control and quality assurance!!
