The Infiniti Q50 will make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show later this month. The new Q50 replaces the current G Series saloon, and will make its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March before going on sale in the UK in June.
The car’s arrival has been confirmed in this teaser video, which shows the Q50’s modern-looking headlight, complete with adaptive projector main bulb and LED eyebrow which runs across the top of the light cluster and forms the daytime running light.
The headlight design is a toned down version of those fitted to the Emerg-e concept shown at the Geneva Motor Show last year.
The teaser video, entitled ‘The All-New Infiniti Q50 - Catch A Glimpse’, was posted on Infiniti’s Facebook page in response to the brand’s page hitting a million ‘Likes’ over the Christmas period. The video was accompanied by an invite to watch the unveiling of the Q50 at Detroit live on Facebook.
The Q50 will be the first Infiniti to carry the firm’s new Q badge, as the brand attempts to simplify the names of its entire line-up – with saloons, coupes and convertibles being badged Q, and its SUVs using QX.

Actually there has been a Q45 model, although the Q50 is the first Q to be sold in the UK.
