Other-reg Petrol, Owner for More than 5 years

Built in 1972 I have owned her for 10 years. Never missed a beat. Has had to come to the rescue of younger stablemates (like Audi A3 breakdowns..) on more than once occassion. Wife and kids pass out in the back on long journeys. Has done 100k miles - engine just run in. Show me another car that gives as good a service being nearly 40 years old.....

Utterly wonderful. The longer I have owned it the more I love its ability to cover long distances in complete comfort and with so little stress. It is all the attention to details that makes driving and riding in the XJ such a pleasure.

Excellent economy with comfortable ride and good looks. Much more reliable than my previous A6. DPF sensor malfunctioned intermitantly , took time to resolve but no problems since. Good acceleration and performance.

An excellent quality ride and very comfortable, let down only by the small boot and the road noise. It's not deafening, but it's not as quiet as the 1970's XJ6's. If becomes affordable when run on LPG.

effortless luxury at an affordable price. Running costs are above those of a hatchback but if you travel business class you expect to pay more.
