Prices and specs for the flagship Lexus LS have been announced. The LS 460 Luxury starts from £71,995, while the LS 460 F Sport costs from £74,495. The range-topping LS 600h L Premier hybrid costs £99,495.
Both of the LS 460 models are powered by a 382bhp 4.6-litre V8 petrol engine, which Lexus says has been reintroduced to the UK line-up in response to customer demand.
The Luxury is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, a 19-speaker stereo, four-zone climate control, and air conditioned electrically adjustable front seats The interior features dynamic instrument panel lighting that moves and changes in intensity when you start or stop the LS’s engine.
The LS 460 F Sport gets sporty design tweaks, 19-inch alloys, Brembo brakes, uprated dampers and a limited slip differential.
The flagship LS 600h is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 petrol-electric hybrid powertrain that delivers 439bhp.
Along with the features of the rest of the range, the LS 600h gets Lexus’ world first ‘climate concierge’ system, which uses infrared sensors to monitor the facial temperature of each occupant of the car and alters the temperature accordingly for maximum comfort.
Top-spec Premium cars can also be had with night vision. It’s a £1,525 option that uses a near-infra red camera to display the night vision images on the 12.3-inch central display. Lexus claims that this feature provides the driver with a view of hazards outside of the direct beam of the headlights.
The new Lexus LS range is on sale now, with first deliveries taking place in January 2013.
