British drivers are in line to get the very best of Nissan’s GT-R – thanks to a series of electronic upgrades that will only be offered here.
The two-door supercar’s 3.8-litre V6 twin-turbo engine benefits from 5bhp more power than Japanese and American models, taking its output to 478bhp. The GT-R also gets ultra-sticky Dunlop SP tyres, which have an extremely soft compound to provide plenty of grip in corners. Prices will start at £56,795, with the Premium Edition weighing in at £58,095 and the Black Edition £59,395.
So far, 1,200 GT-Rs have been ordered by UK customers, and with demand still very strong, Nissan says that any new customer ordering now should expect delivery in mid-2010.
