At last, they've dropped the stupid chrome strip from the front. I have an '08 plate 107 which is great, 5-door Urban Move with Air Con and Rev Counter. If I decide to replace it the 107 is once again worth consideration.
Notice how they've reduced the price on these, hastily added a mild update etc, all since the launch of the VW Up! and just before the arrival of the SEAT Mii and excellent Skoda Citigo.
For the 107/Aygo/C1 to be competitive, they'll have to do more than just lower prices - they'll have to improve quality and customer care too. The smart money goes on the Citigo.
A reconditioned reskin of Daihatsu's Charade - the new Citigo? Mmm no thanks - even IF the customer services need improving, this facelift keeps the Aygo/107 crowd fresh. VAG need to be more enterprising - so much for SEAT trying to carve its own identity- Skoda should just have the 5 door version, SEAT should do a coupe version and give VW the Lupo/Fox replacement in 3 and 5 door versions and make the cool contrasting colours and skin covers only applicable to the Up.
I do feel sorry for the people that have to drive these small, insignificant cars. Poor souls.
I don't need the sarky, patronising comment above. You are not showing an altruistic spirit, but sneering - uncalled for. I have one of these and love it. No, it wouldn't be my first choice, but driven sensibly, within its limitations, it makes sound sense. So get a life, Neil R, and respect others who might not share your opinions.
