This is the new Accord Coupé , which was unveiled for the first time at the Detroit Motor Show last week.
Honda's senior vice president in America, John Mendel, said: "The Coupé demonstrates the styling direction for the upcoming, eighth-generation Accord. The car will set a new benchmark for safety, efficiency, performance, refinement and style."
As well as revealing the styling of the fresh model, the show star has a new ultra-efficient V6 engine using Honda's next-generation Variable Cylinder Management technology.
Safety is also paramount. Every variant features Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE), which is designed to boost front-end crash protection. While the current Accord is sold only as a saloon and estate in the UK, no decision has been made about the Coupé coming here when the MkVIII arrives in 2008.
