Smart ForTwo

That’s a Smart set of specs!

Neat publicity stunt gets the ForTwo inside your head.

Smart glasses

03rd February 2008

THIS has to be the cheapest way to get behind the wheel of a Smart ForTwo! As part of a marketing campaign in its home country, the German firm has produced special glasses which let wearers ‘see’ what drivers of the small city car do.

That’s because the inside of the cardboard frames are printed with detailed images of the Smart’s funky interior – including the dashboard-mounted instrument pods – creating a panoramic view of the cabin.

The result? You can take a test drive of the funky two-seater without leaving the comfort of your home, apparently. The only problem arises when your friends want a lift – these glasses are strictly a Smart ForOne.
