Four-wheel-drive Skoda Yeti Sochi special edition has been unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show

The special-edition Skoda Yeti Sochi has been revealed at the Moscow Motor Show, named after the Russian venue of the 2014 Winter Olympics. The Volkswagen Group - which includes Skoda - is an official automotive partner of the Sochi games.

The special-edition Yeti comes finished in candy white and is fitted with Winter Games badging and a set of dark alloys. The four-wheel-drive model is powered by a 148bhp 1.8-litre TSI engine coupled to a seven-speed DSG gearbox.

The interior boasts a blue and black colour scheme, featuring Winter Games logos. There’s contrast blue stitching on the steering wheel, handbrake and gear lever, too.

Skoda also unveiled the Yeti 1.4 TSI DSG at the Moscow Motor Show and revealed that the new Rapid would be built in Russia from early 2014.

By 2018, Skoda is hoping to sell at least 1.5 million cars a year and the company sees Russia as an important growth market for achieving those figures.

Its a pity they would not build all Skodas in Russia - and then only sell them there too! - keeping their ugly mugs off our roads.

Shame Alfa and Fiat don't do the same then, after all, they are the WORST cars for reliability and looks etc. Keep your childish opinions to yourself, jealous troll. Skodas are quite rightly here to stay.
