Smart has created a special-edition Fortwo BoConcept, which has a starting price of £22,315

Smart has teamed up with Danish design firm BoConcept to create yet another special edition of its Fortwo city car.

Blending extra features along with sporty upgrades from the Brabus special edition, the BoConcept gets distinctive matte white paint with an ‘oriental brown’ finish along the doors, mirrors and alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin has been lined with tabacco leather to match the exterior while plush extras like an oak gearknob – the first time wood has featured in a Smart – neon yellow stitching and touchscreen sat-nav complete the extensive equipment list.

BoConcept has also created a matching set of ‘smartville’ furniture and accessories to go with the car including a matching sofa that is the exact same size.

Based on the Smart Fortwo Passion, featuring an 83bhp petrol engine, the BoConcept starts at £22,315 – a standard Passion model costs £10,875. A convertible version of the BoConcept is available for £24,515.

Is this a joke?! At £10875 the Smart is poor value... Who in their right mind would spend double that?!

Im a fan of the Smart car but honestly, stop wasting money on special editions that no-one will buy and just get on releasing the next generation fortwo and forfour.

Only a nutcase with more money than sense would plough 22k into a smart car!
