Audi has fitted the new Audi S3 Sportback with optional 4G Internet and will be available on all A3 variants from November

Audi has unveiled its plan to integrate a superfast 4G data connection in the new S3 Sportback, with the full A3 family being fitted with the technology from November.

The 4G connection will enable passengers to transfer and download large amounts of data such as music and HD films, via the Internet, taking in-car entertainment to the next level. Social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook have also been made vehicle-friendly with a text-to-speech function and pre-prepared text templates.

The 4G connection will also have its benefits for the driver too, delivering up-to-the-minute information regarding the latest traffic and weather situation, as well as a distance and pricing function for nearby petrol stations and car parks.

Only available with Audi’s Technology pack, the 4G connection also requires a suitable SIM card with data plan, in order for it to work. Once passengers have connected their laptops, mobile phones or tablets to the car's WLAN hotspot, they will be able to browse the web or watch a film independently from one another.

The Audi S3 Sportback with 4G connection is available to buy now.
