Lexus has expanded the IS line-up with the addition of a new limited-run Executive Edition trim for range-topping 300h hybrid models.
On sale now and priced from £29,995, this latest special specification level builds on the existing Luxury variant, adding additional kit worth £2,395 while costing £1,000 less.
This works out as a total saving equal to £3,395, with the Executive Edition IS 300h featuring leather upholstery and the Lexus Navigation system as standard – which respectively cost £1,400 and £995 when fitted to Luxury trim models.
Additional kit carried over includes front and rear parking sensors, 17-inch alloys, dusk-sensing High Intensity Discharge xenon headlights and cruise control. Further comfort is added through dual-zone climate control, as well as an auto-dimming rear view mirror and rain-sensing wipers.
As with the rest of the range, power comes from a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that works alongside an electric motor to generate 181bhp and 221Nm of torque. In Executive Edition spec, the Lexus IS 300h’s Hybrid Drive system returns a claimed 64.2mph whilst emitting 103g/km of CO2 – the same as Luxury models.
