We've got the inside line on the C-MAX! This is our first peek at the interior of Ford's brand-new MPV, previewed by the Iosis-Max concept at Geneva earlier this year.
It's difficult to make out detail from the grainy shot, but what can be concluded is that a mobile phone-inspired dash layout will be carried over from the Fiesta. New higher-quality materials will give the car an upmarket feel, while gadgets such as a reversing camera weill even be included on top-spec modells.
Our other shots show the sloping rear window and new front end featuring a
trapezoidal grille. Clearly the new C-MAX has retained some of the good
looks of the Iosis concept whilst still maintaining a versatile design
with a large cabin and sliding rear doors.
Under the bonnet the
new C-MAX will be the first Ford to debut the new EcoBoost range which
consists of smaller displacement engines with direct fuel injection and
turbocharging to provide an economy boost without any loss in
performance. The 180hp 1.6-litre EcoBoost from the Iosis concept could
be lifted directly into the new C-MAX.
The car is scheduled to make its official debut at Frankfurt this month.
