Way to go

Nice job getting people fired on a private photo shoot. It's not bad enough that people are out of work, but you have to do your part to make sure that even more people lose their jobs...how do you sleep at night?

If they did not want you to see it they would have at least removed the volvo badge from the tail gate. I think it looks better without the Volvo badge and grill, time to change that silly angled badge, just pop the name Volvo in the centre of the grill

Very Nice

Even if it didnt say Volvo on the boot the design is so recognisable as a Volvo the rear lights and the pronounced shoulder are such iconic elements of the Volvo family it could hardly be anything else, the nose is exactly the same as the recently revealed S60, it could only be a V60. if it drives as well as it looks this could be real winner, why did Ford sell Volvo when it gone into all the trouble of producing what could be the car that finally brings in a profit.

Golly it's ugly!

Looks like it might have been a pretty design until they reversed it into a wall. Like so many cars these days - looks nice from the front and the side but the backside............................yuk!

Your ugly epithet 'load lugger', that you trot out ad nauseum with every estate car does not apply here. The photo of the tail gate shows an opening hardly big enough for a soft squashy bag. big boxes and suitcases ??, forget it. Why do the side doors have to be so thick ??, its supposed to be a car for god's sake, not an armoured personell carrer. It must be very claustrophobic in the rear with the high waistline, and the small windows (and those thick doors). My V50 isn't perfect, but at least it is well proportioned. This looks as though somebody has sat on the back end and squashed it. Practical can be stylish, but not in the hands of these so called 'designers' it seems.

Better

The V70 is about to be face lifted so its good Volvo have a smaller estate/sports hatch. This will fill the gap until a 5 dr V30 comes along. I had a V50 but there wasn't enough space.
