All the best new car deals in 2014, with offers on the cheapest new cars and the top offers available

It can be challenging finding a cheap new car, especially now there's so much to choose from on the new car market. Don't worry, though. We've trawled the brochures and websites of every car manufacturer to hunt down the best deals for you.

Car makers are frequently offering tempting special offers and new car deals in a bid to keep their products attractive and affordable for new customers. This has been helped in 2014 by strong sales figures, so is not uncommon to find deals offering low finance rates, deposit contributions and particularly attractive savings off the list price of some cars. This trend shows little sign of slowing, so plenty of great deals are available if you're in the market for a new car.

There’s something for everyone in our list, from city cars to SUVs. Whatever you go for, there’s a deal to be done somewhere. And if you can’t find the model or spec you want, don’t be afraid to ask. It’s a buyer’s market, and dealers are always after a sale.

Also, read our list of the cheapest cars to insure in 2014 and our round-up of the best car leasing deals 2014.

Car deals UK: latest deals

Mazda deals: 0 per cent APR on many new Mazda cars

Mazda 3 long termer rear cornering

Mazda is currently offering 0 per cent finance (PCP) deals on all models apart from the CX-5 SUV. That means the new Mazda 3, plus the excellent Mazda 6 and Mazda MX-5, are all available on afforable monthly payments without interest.

The brand's full range of cars will also be available with no deposit - so you can drive off with a brand new model without a large upfront cost. Visit your dealer for more details on which deals and models are available.

Kia Picanto deals: City car for £75 per month
Kia Picanto

Kia is offering a three-door Picanto city car for £75 per month. But the deal isn’t for a base-spec model – this buys a VR7, featuring air-con, parking sensors, Bluetooth with voice control, music streaming and USB.

The car costs £9,645, with the low payments on Kia’s three-year zero per cent PCP deal, which demands a 35 per cent deposit. There’s a 9,000-mile annual mileage limit, but the brand’s seven-year warranty is included.

Hyundai i20 deals: Save £2,500 on supermini

As it gears up to launch its new i20, Hyundai is offering anyone buying the outgoing supermini on finance £750 towards their deposit. That’s on top of an already generous £1,785 saving on the list price of the 1.2 Active model.

It means the total amount payable on the five-door is £10,681 – and this looks great value given that it features Bluetooth, voice control, electric windows and mirrors, plus air-con.

The 84bhp petrol engine also returns 58mpg and the i20 has a five-star Euro NCAP rating, too.

I find the Range Rover Evoque 2.2 good even thought a bit pricey.

and where do you think that you can get some of these wild discounted prices ?

You can probably get more discount on the X3 and the Qashqai if you negotiate hard. Bmw will easily offer up to 8% off list prices on most models, maybe more on the X1. BMW are now a mass manufacturer and the competition between dealerships is fierce as they each fight for volume. As for the Nissan Qashqai, well it's just a typical hatchback on stilts - so don't pay 4x4 money for it - it isn't a proper 4x4. Of course, you'll only get the really big discounts if you buy on credit. But if you look closely, especially at the Mercedes, you still pay £4K more than the list price when all the interest has been added. My advice, pay cash if you can - even if it means buying a smaller car. It always works out cheaper in the end.

If you're a cash buyer, you'll get 15% straight off a 3 series... haggle hard & you'll get more. BMW have been churning out run of the mill mass produced cars for decades - there are more 3 series on the road than many Fords. Everyone's owned one a some point, that's why you can always get massive discounts on BMWs. They're everywhere. No way do they sell anywhere near the ridiculous iist price - only a fool would pay that, or people who can only afford expensive lease deals. 3 series = modern day Mondeo, the company rep mobile.

2013/4 ZAFIRA Exclusiv 1.6i / 1.8i are surely the best vfm at present at just between £9,500 and £11,000 on the road
