A special-edition version of the Land Rover Freelander 2 has been revealed.
Starting from £22,495, the Black and White Limited Edition is £1,205 cheaper than the model it’s based on. It takes the S variant – whichcomes with a start button and an eight-speaker stereo with DAB as standard – and adds LED running lights and a gloss black grille, side vents and door handles.
There’s also set of 17-inch alloys and privacy glass to match the Santorini Black or Fuji White paint colours that give the limited-edition model its name. On the inside, it gets black leather trim as standard and Bluetooth connectivity.
Buyers can choose between the front-wheel-drive 148bhp 2.2-litre eD4 diesel with a six-speed manual, which returns 47.1mpg and 158g/km of CO2, or the four-wheel drive TD4 that's also powered by a 148bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel. The latter can also be fitted with an automatic gearbox, but returns its best of 45.6mpg and 165g/km of CO2 with the six-speed manual. All models are equipped with stop-start as standard.
Just 600 of the Freelander 2 Black and White Limited Edition will be built, with the eD4 starting at £22,295 with the TD4 priced from £23,495.

I'm picking one of these up on Thursday this week. A TD4 (4x4) Manual in black, they look really nice with the black grill, side vents, privacy glass and xs alloys. Although they do not come with leather seats, as stated above. So I've ordered waterproof seat covers for mine to keep the cloth seats clean!
I paid £23000 for mine, which when you look around at other mid size 4x4/crossovers, seems pretty good value when you consider it's a Land Rover.
