Facelifted Insignia estate spotted ahead of its launch next year

A facelifted Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer estate has been caught testing.

The facelift will see a new chrome grille and revised headlamps to bring the Insignia’s look up-to-date alongside the new Corsa supermini. The Sports Tourer is unique from the B-pillar back and will have its own revised taillights as part of the mid-life facelift.

The Insignia update will also see a new 108bhp 1.7-litre CDTi with stop-start join the line-up to attract more tax-conscious fleet buyers.

Inside, there will be increased equipment levels with the same dimensions as the current vehicle, which has been on sale since 2008.

The facelifted Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer goes on sale in 2013 alongside the updated hatch and saloon models, timed to coincide with the launch of the new Mondeo. Prices for the Sports Tourer will start at just under £20,000.
