The Alfa Romeo MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK Limited Edition has arrived in the UK. However, just 28 examples are destined to be sold here.
The MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK is the product of Alfa’s continued support of the FIM Superbike World Championship – for which Alfa Romeo has been the sponsor for the last seven years. Alfa Romeo also provides the official safety car for the championship.
Launched at the Paris Motor Show last year, the new MiTo Limited Edition is powered by the turbocharged 170bhp 1.4-litre MultiAir engine.
It features SBK decals, a racing body kit including bigger side skirts and a rear spoiler; 18-inch alloys and red-painted Brembo brake callipers.
Inside, the MiTo features red-stitched Sabelt Alcantara upholstered sports seats with carbon-fibre backs, which are normally a £2,000 optional extra. There are also sports pedals and a red-stitched leather covered steering wheel and gearstick.
Each MiTo SBK features an individually numbered SBK Limited Edition badge, while all cars also include air conditioning, the Blue&Me Bluetooth hands-free system, cruise control, Alfa Active Suspension, and rear parking sensors.
The MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde SBK Limited Edition is only available in Solid Black with an Alfa Red roof, and is priced at £21,595.
Fiat claims that this represents a saving of around £1,200 over the standard MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde - which is priced from £18,760 - fitted with the additional equipment.
