New version of Alfa Romeo Giulietta to celebrate 60th anniversary of the original car with money off

A special edition Alfa Romeo Giulietta model is set to be launched by the Italian manufacturer as a tribute to the original Giulietta Sprint model (above, left) launched 60 years ago.

Alfa Romeo is offering a discount of £1,250 on the car when bought using the firm's finance scheme, either by Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) or Hire Purchase and as long as the purchase is made between the 7th and 22nd of April.

Further appeal comes from the announcement that any Giulietta buyer during the qualifying time period will be entered into a prize draw, with the winner able to purchase the car outright for just 1,250, the price of a new Giulietta Sprint in 1954.

The model gets a new shade of paint, Lunar Pearl, which is worth £510. This marks one of the many additions to the new 2014 Giulietta, which will feature a variety of new seat trims, paint shades and Alfa’s UConnect infotainment system, now a standard feature.

The Progression features Alfa’s 1.4 litre petrol engine, which produces 118bhp and takes the car from 0-62 mph in 9.4 seconds.

The new additions to the range come as an exciting refresh for the already popular MiTo and Giulietta, which anchor Alfa Romeo’s range.
